New Learning Centers!

Today we were introduced to our new AND last set of Learning Centers!

Some of the activities are pictured below.

With this center, some of the reading children will be putting together

two fragments to make one complete and logical sentence.

This center is for creating/recognizing two and three-digit numbers.

This is a 'domino-train'.
Some children have to create trains using dominos that when you add up all the dots they equal the
number that is given.
For example, the first train must be a 10 dot train and you have to use
3 different dominos.

There are 4 different ways to group these cats and dogs.

The children must show how they can be grouped so that each group is alike in some way.

This is a writing center... everyone will illustrate and be the author of their own

Butterfly Book!

Ending sounds.

Sight words.

You have to match the picture with the 3-letter word.

Some children will have to sound out the picture and create the 3-letter word.

Beginning sounds.

Pentominoes.

There are also learning centers that will be done on the computer. We will continue with the Lexia program that each child worked on during the last set of learning centers. In addition to the Lexia, we will also add a center for practicing symmetry. Each child will have the opportunity to create a butterfly on the computer and add shapes and colors to make it symmetrical.

At the end of the year, everyone will get to take home their computer print-out of their symmetrical butterfly!
