It is hard to believe that November is here already! October was a fun month and it flew by. Thank you to everyone who helped and volunteered, in some way, during October. We really couldn't do it without your help.
We are saying goodbye to our Community Helper theme. We do, although have a few more community helpers scheduled to come visit our class. So if you decide that you would still like to come in a share your special "talent", let us know!
We are saying hello to our new theme, Colors! A few of the things we will be doing with colors are fun art projects, learning all the colors in Spanish and Sign Language, and learning about primary and secondary colors. We will also have a Color Day coming up, but that isn't until December. We will let you know more about that as the time comes closer.
Community Helper Day will be on the 7th. You can view an earlier POST to explain this fun day. Please note that unlike Halloween, your child may come dressed as their community helper. Don't forget to complete the homework that goes with Community Helper day and please send it back to school on or before the 7th.
We will have Zero the Hero on the 10th and the 24th. On the 10th we will have been in school for 50 days and on the 24th, 60 days! Time really has flown by!!!!
On the 18th, Carpool duties will be changing!!! This means that you will no longer be seeing Shari or Alicia during carpool after school. We will continue to do carpool at 1130, between morning and afternoon sessions. Please understand that the new carpool teachers will need time to learn your child's name and get to the point where things will run smoothly and quickly. Your patience is really appreciated!
On the 21st, our PK Musical Program will take place at 1230. We will be up on stage, so don't miss our big debut! The program will not last long... 30-40 minutes at the most.
For our CARES program, we will continue to collect Box-Tops, but we will be starting our dog/cat donations. No, that does not mean you can donate your own dogs and cats! We will be collecting toys, food, treats and/or anything you would like to donate. A letter will be going home soon explaining more. Thank you, in advance, for all your help. This is the 3rd year we have been collecting and donating items for Citizens for Humane Action, in Westerville.
There will be NO SCHOOL on the 26, 27, & 28. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
Have a wonderful and safe 'Turkey-Month'!
