Second Step

We introduced the Second Step Program to the children on Friday. Throughout the year we will be discussing feelings, role-playing, social situations, and developing problem solving skills with the aid of photographs and puppets. On Friday, we discussed being able to identify others' feeling. We also discussed how everyone has or experiences many different feelings and how each feeling is okay to have. We ended our Second Step lesson by expressing a feeling we had during the day during our Closing Circle Time. We encouraged the children to express a feeling that he/she had, from our day, during dinner time with their family.
