C.A.R.E.S. -February-

Our C.A.R.E.S. project, for the month of February, was making Valentine cards for some children who need some extra smiles in their life.

We read a book about what we love... we then talked about how we would feel if we couldn't do or see some of the things that we loved.
We discussed how we would feel if we didn't receive any Valentine cards. We discussed how some children do not have all the great things that we have and it was very interesting to hear some of the things that 4 and 5 year olds say!

We talked about how sad we would feel if we were too sick to go to school.

We talked about how upset we would be if we couldn't be at school for Valentine's Day.

We decided it would be nice to show we C.A.R.E. by making Valentine cards for children who are too sick to go to school.
Everyone did a wonderful job at making Valentine cards.
It was very fun to see their creativity and to see the kids really think about
others!
We hope that everyone has a wonderful Valentine's Day!

*Please note that the children listed on this site, and who we send the cards to, are terminally ill.
I DO NOT tell the pre-k'ers this. They only know that the children are sick.
